.......what are they good for? Absolutely nothing! I gave up plastic corks a year ago because I was sick of opening oxidized bottles of wine, but some how they still find a way on to our shelves.
No More! At VINO we are getting rid of wines that are sealled with the usless plastic bungs! We all know that natural cork has its problems with cork taint, and we all know that screwcaps are a superior, viable alternative. Why then do some producers continue to use the worst available option of plastic stoppers?
The stupidity is unfathonable to me, and I can only assume that any producer that uses "Porks" cares little about their consumers and even less about the wine that they produce.
